The Upper Midwest Economic Development Course is a comprehensive educational experience on the theory and practice of economic development fundamentals and is accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). It fulfills one of the prerequisites for those who wish to take the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) Examiniation. The Basic Economic Development Course is designed for persons in positions related to economic development, including :
Economic Development Professionals
Public officials or staff engaged in economic development
To submit an application for a 2009 EDAM Foundation UMD Upper Midwest Economic Development Course tuition grant, complete the form below and submit to the EDAM Foundation. Applicants must be practitioners in the state of Minnesota to be eligible. Applicants or their employer must be, or agree to become, a member of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota to apply. Applications will be evaluated on a competitive basis.
